In 1968, seven Bursars from schools in Perth got together.... and what we now know as ASBA WA was born!

The first official meeting of Bursars was held at Christ Church GS on 20 November 1968. The 7 foundation schools in attendance were Guildford Grammar School, Perth College, Penrhos College, Methodist Ladies College, Hale School, Wesley College and Christ Church Grammar School. From this auspicious start, and more than 160 members later, ASBA WA continues to grow and prosper as it approaches its 50th Anniversary.

We have plans to ensure the occasion is acknowledged and celebrated in 2018, and here are two events already planned and underway:

  • The 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Friday 23 November 2018
  • Launch of our 50th Year Publication, authored by Des Hardiman, on the life and times, stories and anecdotes, tales tall and true, of Bursars and Business Managers across our great State
