Can You? Can Do!
The 2018 State Conference is coming...

This year's Conference Theme reflects the breadth of our every-day role, being asked to undertake and deliver on a diverse variety of tasks and strategic endeavours. So many of our daily interactions begin with the question "Can you....?" and as Business Managers, we pride ourselves on finding ways to just get it done!

It's the most common way for a conversation to start....  "Can you....???" find money for something, approve something, fix something, speak to somebody, or just "help"!! While we like to think our usual response is "no", more often than not we work hard to help fix that problem, fulfil that request or steer them towards a better outcome. So why not base our 2018 Conference Theme on that premise, that after the "Can you?" comes a "Can Do!"

ASBA WA 2018 will engage and challenge, give you new tools & contacts, and maybe even open the door to new ways of thinking, all in the quest of being an even better "Can Do" Business Manager!

Our venue for this year's conference will be Abbey Beach Resort on the shores of beautiful Geographe Bay just between Busselton and Dunsborough. The change of venue was done reluctantly as many of us enjoyed the delights of Bunker Bay. However, we have outgrown the conference facilities at the Pullman Bunker Bay, and in the spirit of delivering the best experience for both our members and our exhibitors & sponsors, we've moved to the superior conference facilities offered by Abbey Beach Resort. A larger and better equipped conference centre, more accommodation to enable us to house everyone on that site, and the ability to have our exhibitors and sponsors indoors in the main Atrium area of Abbey Beach Resort are all great reasons to make the move to a venue only 2.5 hours from Perth.

As a taste of what's to come... here's just two of our confirmed presenters: Olympic & World cycling champion Anna Meares, and self-confessed media & maths geek, Adam Spencer.
